Love Your Neighbor Ministry
Love Your Neighbor is an outreach ministry that provides food, clothing, and counseling services to assist families. Volunteers assist by picking up bulk groceries at the local food bank, unloading and packing bags of groceries at First Christian Church, assisting families as they come to receive groceries, and sorting and arranging clothing for families in need.
- Serves approximately 120 families monthly
- Approximately 5,000 – 6,000 pounds of food distributed monthly, equaling 66,000 pounds annually
- Clothes Closet and Counseling Services are available upon request
Volunteer Opportunities
3rd Tuesday of every month:
- 10:00 a.m.—Receive and unload the delivery truck from the food bank
- 5:30 p.m.—Pack food into grocery bags
3rd Wednesday of every month:
- 3:00 p.m.—Distribute food to families
