The Living Last Supper
Maundy Thursday
April 5, 2012
6:30 p.m.
Join us for the fourth annual presentation of the musical and dramatic work, "The Living Last Supper," by Ruth Elaine Schram, presented Maundy Thursday, April 5, 2012. This service is free and open to the public. "This service is especially meaningful to our denomination because we celebrate communion each week during our church services as a symbol of God's love, grace, and sacrifice," said pastor Dr. Susan Ward Diamond. "Each year the number who attend the service has grown. The music is so beautiful and the message so meaningful that we are pleased to offer the program again this year."
"The Living Last Supper" incorporates the Da Vinci painting as a model for the set and represents the orginal Last Supper, which was a celebration of the Passover feast. Our Drama Team and Chancel Choir have come together to present this moving account, combining dramatic readings interspersed between musical selections.
