Library

One of the resources available for recreation and study is our church library. Our library is housed in two areas of our building. Books and audiovisual materials for children are located in our Education wing, while materials for adults and older youth are located in Room S4, which is adjacent to the sanctuary.

Our collection contains both fiction and nonfiction books and other materials that will entertain and enlighten in the areas of Bible study, devotional works, other religions, church history and reference works. There are various English translations and versions of the Bible, Disciples of Christ history, polity and theology, music, history, and biography as well as some unexpected subjects.

All books are classified according to the Library of Congress Classification system. All our materials have been cataloged using the Resource Mate software and an online catalog is available on the computer in Room S4. Materials may be checked out by signing your name and the check-out date on the card found in the book.

If you would like to contribute to the Library fund, or buy a book or another item for our library, the librarian has a number of catalogs and suggestions for materials which will enhance our collection. Please see the librarian concerning the selection of suitable materials that fit within our collecting policy. Donations of books or other materials will only be accepted if they are suitable for our library collection.
