HIV/AIDS Ministry
In 2010, the HIV/AIDS Task Force was established to fulfill a need identified through First Christian Church's spiritual strategic plan. This group meets regularly to identify ways the church can assist individuals affected by HIV/AIDS. Volunteers plan and implement projects to support individuals with HIV/AIDS.
In partnership with Montgomery AIDS Outreach, the task force has introduced a project of supplying car seats and baby items to HIV positive expectant mothers who are unable to afford such items. This project began in July 2010 and has supplied 5 car seats and gifts to expectant women. 
First Car Seat Donation August 2010You can help with this ministry by:
- Purchasing baby products such as: baby wash, baby lotion, baby powder, onesies, blankets, pacifiers, bottles and newborn bottles;
- Helping to assemble the gift packages;
- Donating monetary gifts to help purchase the car seats; or
- Volunteering to serve on the HIV/AIDS Task Force.
