We celebrate that First Christian Church is involved each month in reaching out to those who are struggling to provide the most basic necessities of life. Many of those who come each month to receive food tell us that without this provision, they could not purchase the medication necessary to live. What a privilege we have to reach out to "the least of these" with food for body and soul.
For those who have not yet been able to participate, we want to invite you to join us as we package the food to be distributed. We meet at 6:30 p.m., on the planned date each month and the process moves quickly! If you can join us the following day, food distribution begins sometime between 3:00 and 3:30 p.m. We need persons who can help the elderly to load the food packages in their cars; we also need individuals to come early who are willing to share the love of Christ with your hospitality.
One of our recent newcomers to FCC said, "This is what it's all about!" It certainly is! Come and share God's love in a very tangible way this month!
