Fellowship Ministries of First Christian Church
One of the greatest gifts of being a part of the Christian Community is the loving fellowship that is a part of every congregation. Whether it is over a shared meal at the church or a friendly game of golf with your Bible Study group, Christian Fellowship is an important aspect of our lives of faith. At First Christian Church, we have a variety of different opportunities for our community to gather in fellowship. We invite you to attend any of the fellowship opportunities listed below.

Every woman in our congregation is a member of Disciples Women, and guests are always welcome. The women of First Christian Church have regular small group meetingsof prayer, study and community once a month that serve as the foundation for their fellowship. However, they also gather to hear special speakers, attend community activities with one another, serve our community through outreach ministries as well as a variety of other exciting and meaningful activities. Like the women, the men of First Christian have a meaningful life of faith and fellowship with one another. Their fellowship begins on the first Sunday of every month at 7:45 a.m. with a great southern style breakfast along with devotions and prayer. The men are also very involved in mission work through a variety of outreach ministries and are even known to get together regularly for a pick up game of golf. The youth of First Christian Church are always up to something good. Whether it is gathering for Bible Study, setting out on a mission project, or headed for a night of fun and games, there is always something going on for the youth of our church. In fact, we are currently involved in re-structuring our youth program to make it even better. Sound lives of faith are rooted in what we learn as young people, so come and join our youth as they learn what it means to live out a life of Christian Faith.
One of the strongest ministries in our church, the Children's Choir is great fun for all. Meeting every Sunday at 4:00 p.m. (Unless otherwise noted on the ,church calendar), the children gather to learn the basics of music through song and bell ringing. They also participate in fun games and prayer. Come and check out what all the excitement is about this Sunday!
Who doesn't love a great meal! The members of First Christian love to gather to share their best dishes and most creative desserts at our fellowship meal. Not only do we leave with filled bellies, but our souls are also nourished at these meals by a variety of presentations and activities. From our annual church picnic in the fall, to our Ladies' Day Luncheon in the spring, these meals are a continuing source of friendship and fun. Check out the church calendar to see when the next meal is scheduled and bring lots of room for great food!
Come join the fun as each month many small groups of from six to eight people join together for a great meal and fellowship. This groups meet at each others home and the groups reorganize every few months so you have the opportunity to meet new people in
the congregation.
