Opening of the New PlaygroundChildren's Ministries

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs." (Luke 18:16 NRSV). At FCC, our children are accepted, loved, and encouraged to grow in their relationship with God. From their birth, we strive to show them God's love in many ways.

Nursery: Worship Our Way (WOW)

Overseen by loving staff and volunteers, our nursery is available on Sunday mornings, Wednesday nights, and at church-wide events. Learn more about the nursery.

Christian Children's Fellowship

Open to children ages 5 through fifth grade, Christian Children's Fellowship (CCF) is a special program on Wednesday nights at 6:15 p.m. to help our children learn about being Christians. During their time together, the children learn Bible stories, make crafts, play games, do special mission projects, prepare to help lead worship, and much more. Learn more about our Wednesday Night Program.

Children's Sunday School Class

Our children's Sunday school class meets weekly at 9:30 a.m. on  Sunday mornings. Children come together to learn the stories of the Bible and how to apply them to their daily lives. Learn more about our Children's Sunday School Class.

Children's Worship

FCC offers two special worship services for children during the 10:30 a.m. Sunday service. Learn about Worship and Wonder for children ages 4 through second grade and Following Jesus for children in grades 3–5.

Jesus DollJesus Doll at Camp

One of our ministries is the Jesus Doll, a huggable doll that looks like Jesus. Each week a child gets to take the Jesus Doll home to see what it is like to have a physical reminder of Jesus' presence always around. Jesus has eaten dinner with the family, gone to school, gone to sleep-overs, and even on trips. Most of all, Jesus gets lots of hugs. After a week with the Jesus Doll, children write in the journal what it was like to have Jesus with them, and then return him to the church.

Easter Egg Hunt 2010Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Jointly sponsored with St. Mark United Methodist Church, our annual Easter Egg Hunt is held the Saturday morning before Easter. Beginning with Easter games and crafts, the children learn the story of Easter through special "Resurrection Eggs." Following this time, the children enjoy their egg hunt, collecting eggs filled with age-appropriate treats and goodies. Concluding with a child-friendly lunch, the Easter Egg Hunt is a great time to have fun as we celebrate the love of Jesus. Free and open to everyone.

VBS 2010Vacation Bible School

A special educational and fellowship opportunity for our children one week during the summer, VBS engages children's imaginations as we transform FCC into an exotic location and teach Bible stories in a new way. Filled with music, crafts, snacks, games, stories, drama, and prizes, Vacation Bible School is a fun time for all involved. In June 2010, we traveled to Africa on a safari, where we learned about the Lord's Prayer. In past years, we have recreated the Holy Land and learned through theme-based activities.
